VR Porn From a Woman’s Point of View

Virtual Reality has grown exponentially in 2016, and virtual porn did as well. However most of what the sexual show business produces is usually an adaptation or update of the well known old concepts, and is conceived to mostly satisfy the male audience.

But even the most established company users understood fast the huge opportunities VR products could give to the market. When I met the chief investment officer of Naughty America, Ian Paul, in California early this year, he presented me a project they were developing which included a female player. We talked for a long time about how weird — and rewarding — experience of a man having sex from a female point of view.

After talking with a lot of stakeholders in the porn business for many years, they also say that aiming female customers is what they had in mind with virtual reality porn. Anyway, as you can imagine, the market that goes for the easy target (male customers) comes first. And so did Naughty America [NSFW], and the project I saw never came out to light, choosing to keep with the common male point of view.

Another sight

And then the Dutch firm WankzVR [NSFW] decided to make things different. They claim to be committed to escape from the establishment by releasing the “one of a kind” set of VR porn product particularly aiming female customers. Settled in Amsterdam, the firm has been researching the application of 3D media systems, using stereoscopic HD camcorders and binaural microphones, to produce “full 360” content for the porn industry since 2015, and they consider this is a main resource to exploit.

“We’ve got a big audience of women and we usually get comments by them about the content they would like to see. The porn business has more often overlooked content from the female point of view, but we want to go further,” said Managing Director Bradley Phillips.

Then what is “female porn” really about? Some people might think that everything goes about romance, candles and roses, but what I saw from the material of WankzVR platform (and they say they are doing this “only thinking about the girls”), it seems just like “normal” VR porn, but of course you see the action as a woman would see it. The concept that Female Point Of View holds is, as they say, for “female audience to dive into the impetuous wonders of VR sex as they would see it in real life.”

You will see also something slightly different. The videos are usually longer (15–18 min duration) in order to have some “foreplay and erotic warn up.” Although I don’t really know if — as they say — it actually “prevails over the intercourse itself,” those addings are for sure the kind of things that a large part of female audience likes to see.

The layout of the site is also supposed to be more attractive to women with smooth erotic pics and mouth watering descriptions and community-like reviews regarding each video. In The Pool Guy, you can read:

It’s Saturday afternoon and you are waiting for the hot pool cleaning boy to come by. You husband is also out on Saturdays to play golf. It must be gift of heaven. Today, you are full of naughty ideas and you wear a brand new mini bikini. You ask him to rub sunscreen on your back… Mhh, you are dirty girl!

Using personal characters also helps prepare the story for diving into the dream of Virtual Reality. There is also a pronounced accent on “passion” and narrative. A user review on one of the videos said:

“Each part of the video feels actually true, I can’t guess what will happen later and that gives much more spice to it.”

The videos can be seen on different Virtual Reality devices, like Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Cardboard, and all content is still costless so far. It’s no news that women do like porn. Actually, WankzVR said that they were “overwhelmed with messages” from women asking them to create some content from a woman’s point of view — but not many want to pay for it.

Perhaps it is just the “annoy” of the buying process instead of the money itself. So it is better by now to generate audience and allow them to enjoy and taste the content before trying to make money out of that big, yet difficult business.

Finally, the firm commits to “go on with the searching to find an equilibrium of content for a female audience, paying attention to their wishes and launching content which focus on a more “close and reciprocal satisfaction for both sides in the porn business that has more to do with the woman’s point of view of sex.” So, put your VR headsets on and take a look at this…
